Framework for Human-Robot Cognition Interaction

The project aims to develop a new approach to Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) that combines knowledge graph representations with modern approaches to perception, machine learning, bio-inspired computation, and computational semantics. This approach seeks to bridge the gap between symbolic and connectionist paradigms, addressing the challenge of conceptual communication between humans and various computational programs.
The overall aim of the project is to devise a novel framework that extends the existing scope of HRI. This includes incorporating new areas of knowledge graph representation for more efficient collation and sharing of knowledge, shared autonomy for optimal human interactions, and addressing crucial topics such as safety, reliability, and ethical aspects in close-quartered, human-centric robotic activities.
