Dr. Ramen Pal is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Limerick, affiliated with the
Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS). His work is affiliated with
Lero, the Irish Software Research Centre, which focuses on software engineering and related
fields. He is currently involved in the Wireless Automatic Compiler Tuning (WACT) project, a
fully funded industry initiative. His responsibilities include modeling a framework that employs
meta-heuristic optimization algorithms and surrogate models to optimize the compiler flag
sequence, thereby enhancing the performance of industrial software without directly accessing
the software's source code.
Dr. Pal earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from the University of
Burdwan, India, in 2015. He completed his Master of Technology in Computer Science and
Engineering at the University of Kalyani, India, in 2018, and obtained his Ph.D. in Computer
Science and Engineering from Assam University, Silchar, India, in 2023. He has accumulated
over five years of teaching experience at various universities in India. Dr. Pal's research interests
encompass artificial intelligence, machine learning, and satellite image processing. He has
published more than 10 papers in reputed journals and conferences.
