Ehsan Namjoo joined the Biocomputing and Developmental Systems (BDS) research group at the University of Limerick (UL) as a postdoctoral researcher in February 2024. His expertise lies in Machine Learning, Information Theory, and Signal Processing. Prior to joining BDS, he served as an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering-Communication Systems at Shahid Chamran University (SCU) of Ahvaz.
In BDS, Ehsan is actively involved in the Explainable Safety and Security (EXSS) project. This project focuses on exploring approaches to eXplainable AI (XAI) that accelerate the use of AI/ML functions in edge devices for robotics safety functions. These systems are engineered to meet rigorous functional safety standards and operate in proximity to humans.
