I am an Electrical Engineer with a Ph.D. specializing in Communications, Signal/Image Processing, and Machine Learning. In February 2012, I began my academic journey as an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz (SCU). During my time at SCU, I dedicated myself to teaching, mentoring, and leading research initiatives. I supervised over 20 graduate theses and collaborated on various research projects. Additionally, I founded the Information Theory and Machine Learning Lab (ITML), creating a vibrant, collaborative space for students and faculty to engage in cutting-edge research in machine learning, information theory, and signal processing.
In February 2024, I joined the Biocomputing and Developmental Systems (BDS) research group at the University of Limerick (UL) as a Postdoctoral Researcher. At BDS, I contribute to the Explainable Safety and Security (EXSS) project, which focuses on developing explainable AI (XAI) methods to enhance the integration of AI/ML capabilities into edge devices for robotic safety systems. These systems are designed to meet the highest functional safety standards, particularly in human-robot interaction environments.
