Douglas Mota Dias is BSc in electrical engineering (computer systems) from Rio de Janeiro State University - UERJ. He received the MSc and DSc degrees in electrical engineering (computational intelligence) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro - PUC-Rio.
He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Dept. of Electrical Engineering - PUC-Rio (2010 - 2015). He has experience in electrical engineering, focusing on electronics and computing, acting on the following subjects: electronic devices and circuits, digital systems, computational intelligence, and high-performance computing. His current positions are (licensed) Assistant Professor at UERJ (Faculty of Engineering/Dept. of Electronics & Telecommunications) and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Limerick, where he works on the project name as Automatic Design of Digital Circuits. Is a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (Rio de Janeiro Section).
