About

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at LERO at the University of Limerick, Ireland, since 2025. My work is on a project called "Autocircuit", in which I am using Grammatical Evolution (GE) to generate synthesis-ready Register Transfer Level (RTL) code from user provided specifications and constraints. Previously, I was working on another project called "Kind Computing", which was to design digital technologies that promote kindness. My general research interests focus on the integration of natural processes and engineering principles in the development of intelligent systems, including intelligent transportation systems, self-adaptive and self-aware systems, cyber-physical systems, and software defined networks. Prior to this role at the University of Limerick I woeked as an Assistant Professor at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) in Pakistan (2015–2025), where I was also a co‑director of the AWKUM AI Lab. My research appears in leading IEEE venues, including the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems. I completed my PhD in mobile cloud computing at Aston University (UK) in 2019.
