The Biocomputing and Developmental Systems (BDS) group is part of Lero and the Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) Department in the University of Limerick in Ireland.

We perform research into Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, focusing on areas such as Grammatical Evolution, Genetic Programming, and Neural Networks. Our funding agencies include the Science Foundation of Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and the European Union Horizon 2020 scheme and we regularly work with research and industrial organisations on projects ranging in duration from a month to four years.
